Gua Sha is a time-honored healing modality that has provided relief for thousands of years

This form of therapy utilizes a specialized tool to scrape the skin and the underlying superficial muscle tissue to improve circulation, relieve pain, and it can provide relief for a wide range of ailments. As with cupping, this form of therapy can leave red marks or light bruising on the skin that will go away in a couple of days.

Gua Sha

Gua Sha, which is similar to the Graston Technique, is a form of soft tissue therapy where a specialized device is used to manipulate the skin and superficial muscles to improve circulation, reduce pain and inflammation, and move lymph in a localized area. It has often been used to treat pain, alleviate the tension and soreness from colds and flu, and improve respiration by relieving the muscles of the upper back.

This form of therapy is often performed on the face, back, buttocks, neck, arms, and legs. The scraping motion that is utilized in gua sha can cause temporary redness and bruising to the areas that it is applied to, which goes away after a couple of days.
