This is why Herbal Medicine is so popular

Here are a few great reasons why

It's Safe

Chinese herbal medicine has a track record over several thousand years of being one of the safest therapies on the planet. Western medications and surgeries are powerful in their own ways, but they often have side effects or unwanted consequences. The herbal formulas we use to treat the root cause of the problem, minimize secondary symptoms, and diminish side effects.

It's Gentle

Almost all of the formulas that we currently utilize at The Subtle Point are gentle on the body because of the way they were put together. These formulas are used to softly push the body in a direction to heal itself. There are certain herbs in all of the formulas to aid in digesting the herbs, and minimizing any toxicity/side effects that a therapeutic dose of a certain herb might have.

Proven Results

Chinese herbal medicine has been utilized for over 2000 years and predates acupuncture. The herbal formulas have been constantly modified and improved upon by the tens of thousands of physicians that have studied them. This means that formulas and herbs that are ineffective or have dangerous side effects have either been left out entirely or have been modified for safety.

How Herbal Medicine Works

Delivery Methods

At The Subtle Point, we utilize highly concentrated tinctures, granules, tablets, topicals, and encapsulated herbs. Classically herbal teas, liquid extracts, granules, powdered herbs, poultices, etc were utilized. However, many of these methods of administration are inconvenient for most patients to incorporate into their lives because of the time it takes to prepare the herbs for use.

Formulas not single herbs

We utilize formulas at our clinic instead of single herbs because time has shown that a combination of herbs is more effective. The formulas each contain a chief herb to address the main issue, helper herbs to address the symptoms, and other herbs to minimize side effects. The effective dose of many herbs can produce side effects that is why each formula has herbs added to reduce gastrointestinal upset, reduce toxicity, and improve absorption.

Strengthens the body

The herbal formulas that we utilize at our clinic do not just address the symptoms of X condition, they help to strengthen the body and get to the root cause of each issue. The herbs contain many different organic compounds and varying nutritional values to push the body to heal itself. These herbs also help to improve organ function, nutrient absorption, and to help strengthen the immune system.
