What We Treat With Acupuncture

How We Achieve Our Results

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is an age-old practice rooted in traditional Chinese medicine, dating back more than 2,000 years. It involves gently inserting thin, sterile needles into specific points on the body to balance the flow of "qi," or vital energy.

This gentle, non-invasive approach kick-starts the body's own healing processes, helping to relieve pain and stress while boosting overall wellness by calming the nervous system, releasing endorphins, and improving circulation.

Herbs & Supplements

Customized herbal & supplement plans are tailored to your constitution for balancing energy, supporting organ function, and enhancing vitality through natural remedies like ginseng, turmeric, or adaptogens.

Our herb and supplement recommendations are adjusted to your needs, lifestyle, and medications, with dosage advice and monitoring—ideal for integrative, non-pharmaceutical support.

Cupping

Relieves muscle tension, decreases swelling, enhances circulation, and promotes holistic health, targeting problems like neck and shoulder pain, joint stiffness, post-workout soreness, headaches, gut disturbances, and breathing difficulties

The time-honored efficacy is grounded in historical practices and contemporary studies, cupping improves blood flow, aids detoxification, and cultivates inner balance, leading to renewed energy and resilience.

Diet & Lifestyle Coaching

Diet and lifestyle coaching has always been a part of Traditional Chinese Medicine. TCM dietary guidance was in accordance of balancing yin and yang through foods, herbs, seasonings, and individual eating habits.

At The Subtle Point we often try and suggest simple lifestyle changes that can help prevent future aches and pains, improve sleep, help manage emotions, etc. Often times this advice includes focusing on posture, incorporating certain stretches or exercises, changing work desk setups, etc.

Tuina & Acupressure Massage

Acupressure and tuina massage deliver precise pressure on key points and dynamic strokes to unblock energy pathways, ease tension, and encourage deep calm—all needle-free.

These therapies are relaxing, gentle on the body, and fine-tuned to your preferences and tolerance, with variable pressure—great for acupuncture alternatives or added support.

Light Therapy

Light therapy can efficiently ease discomfort and swelling, speeds up healing of tissues, and enhances general well-being. At The Subtle Point we use class 3b lasers and LED panels. When in use these lights and lasers do not feel like much, and at most feel a little warm.

Light therapy is supported by thousands of robust scientific evidence and trials. We use laser and light therapy because they have a similar use case, and beneficial effects to moxibustion. Moxibustion involves burning mugwort over various areas and points to produce beneficial effects.

Michael was very knowledgeable and professional. It was a very nice experience. We discussed regarding healthy food I am eating He recommended some food to try to help me with my weight and stress. It was a very productive discussion about stress, food. He also told me about cupping and what he’s doing next and if I was comfortable. I really recommend him.
