One practitioner, every visit
You see me, Michael Sugiura, L.Ac., Dipl. TCM (NCCAOM), at every visit. I grew up in Denver and opened the clinic in 2019 to serve the southeast side of my hometown.
Acupuncture, cupping and Tuina
I offer acupuncture, cupping, Tuina massage and Chinese herbal medicine, often combined in a single visit when one tool is not enough.

Private and unhurried
Every treatment is one-on-one in a private room. You stay dressed for most treatments, so wear something you can roll past the elbows and knees.
Your treatment plan
Your first visit
Plan on 90 minutes. We start by talking: what hurts or is not working, how long it has been going on, what you have tried, and how you sleep, eat and handle stress. I take your pulse and look at your tongue, then you lie on a heated table with fine needles for 25 to 30 minutes. Before you leave we agree on a plan.
Follow-up visits
Follow-ups are 30, 60 or 90 minutes depending on what we are treating. Weekly visits for the first few weeks work best for most conditions.
Hours
Monday to Wednesday 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Friday and Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Closed Thursday and Sunday.
Payment
I accept cash, check, major cards and HSA and FSA cards. I do not bill insurance directly, but you receive a superbill after each visit to submit to your insurer for reimbursement.

Michael was PERFECT! He asked a lot of questions about my pain and went to work on relieving it. The pain in my side that would wake me up every night for years has been gone for 4 days now thanks to the acupuncture. I also received such an amazing neck and head rub it made my toes tingle! I also noticed that I can go much deeper in my yoga poses after one treatment. Michael knows his work!

Rarely, and never the way an injection does. Acupuncture needles are about the width of a human hair. Most people feel a brief tap, then a dull, heavy or warm sensation that fades in a few seconds. If any point feels sharp, tell me and I will adjust or remove it.
